Our Story
The company that became Addium was born more than 40 years ago from the inventions of one man: Gaylon Campbell. A renowned researcher, soil physicist and university professor, he patented several remarkable new methods to understand moisture’s influence on soil, plants, food, and other products.
He entrusted his children with the task of delivering his inventions to the markets that needed them most. They named their small company Decagon – for the ten people in the family, and for their first product, which could hold ten samples.
In the decades since, the company has grown and branched far beyond its familial beginnings, but the culture of scientific rigor and insatiable curiosity that Gaylon cultivated remains at the root of everything we do.
